The yellow school bus arrives and the bus teacher kindly guides each child off of the bus. On the bus the students enjoy Japan's culture hearing stories, songs and playing games in Japanese. The students really love riding the bus! especially with their friends!

In the morning some students are dropped off by their parents. When you see the dinosaur on the roof be sure to greet him with a big "Good morning!"

At LCA we teach using the "Phonics" system. From Year 1 we begin teaching the alphabet sounds. By doing this the students are able to read picture books in Year 2 and can keep a picture diary in English in Year 3.

Even if a student has had no previous English experience, after roughly 6 months from entering LCA students are able to have simple English conversations. They are able to do this because the environment they are in is entirely in English, whether it be the instructions, the praise or the warnings. Being in an all English environment helps the students learn naturally and begin to like speaking English. The kids learn to sing English songs and rhymes very quickly and with beautiful pronunciation.

At lunchtime the students enjoy eating their lunch while chatting with their teachers. They also learn important table manners, of course in English. If desired we also have a school lunch option available.

In the classroom there's a lot of teaching materials that the students love and can use their imagination with. They can speak with the teachers in English and enjoy playing with their favorite toys during inside play time. Outside some students kick around a muddy soccer ball with the teacher, some make tunnels and rivers on the hill, some dig carefully for treasure which the teachers sometimes secretly hide, some enjoy playing in the sandpit and some enjoy playing mothers and daughters in the kitchen nearby the sandpit. The students creative powers really bloom during play time!

After-school is a class where teachers teach a the students in a club like setting. In PE and Dance the students enjoy moving their bodies, while in Home Science they cook and do fun experiments. The students love after-school class. Classes are daily from 2:50pm to 3:50pm and of course these classes are also taught in English (Hip Hop class is the exception). Including After-school class the students can spend 6 hours a day in an all English environment.
